Sometimes the hot sauce is way too hot. Most of the time, it's spot on.

This place is great! The setup is somewhat like Cafe Rio, but the food quality is better, and so are the prices. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's just my opinion, but I think they have some of the best carne asada in the state.

Nice clean friendly place. I ordered the grilled chicken enchiladas with mild green sauce. Everything is fresh made to order. Thru make the tortillas fresh and right in front of you. Food had great flavor and the price was really decent.

Interesting raspberry seasoned chicken, I'm not usually a fan of sweet in my savory, but it was pretty good with a it more heat that thing might sing! I shared some of their nachos too. A healthy portion and made right. I would do that all over again.

The food was pretty good but not really worth the price. When we went it felt like it would have been better to make Mexican food at home. Maybe it was just the sweet pork because that's all we got but I wouldn't care if I ever went back

Lucky me passing through town, it was the day they make their homemade Chile Rellenos, delicious. And my partner had fish tacos also great. Salsas were excellent.What was disturbing however, is that there was zero recycling available and zero response when I inquired about it. “Just throw it away.” The food is served in heavy duty crimped aluminum dishes and / or plastic. Not recycling this grade of aluminum is sort of unforgivable especially when you use so much. Compostable dishware is readily available now and cannot even cost as much as that heavy aluminum. So there are alternatives if you don’t use real dishes.

Malena's serves "Great Food" in a Welcoming Atmosphere. Each food order is prepared, behind an enclosed glass counter, where there's open communication between the "Customer and Employee" .. The tables are arranged within walls, depicting a "South of the Border" decor. I invite you to stop by, and bring Friends and Family. You'll be glad you did.

Please bring back your sparkling water selection! Your food is still good but its a bummer how you don't have the carbonated water selection like you used to.

Food is delish. Friendly staff and I never wait long for my meal. I like the sweet pork salad. Spent lots of time here while going to Snow.

Love Malena's! They have some great options that make for a great place to eat. Their options are similar to Cafe Rio or Costa Vida, but it's the home-style, made with love, fill your belly and soul with goodness, version. And besides your options are pretty limited in Ephraim, so definitely give them a go!

The food was excellent. There is a line to prepare food like you'd see a subway, so the service is fairly quick.

The food is always incredible here. They have a wide veriety of options, and the portions are really generous. I suppose I don't have a huge amount of experience in real authentic Mexican food, but I believe they offer a lot of authentic Mexican food as well as American Mexican food. I have always concidered Melenas (or I suppose it's now Hosés cafe) a good favorite of our families. Highly reccomended!

Disappointed. Order at the counter, bland food no follow up service. Sweet pork was recommended by everyone in line. Must be a regional thing, not Mexican food .

Always have great carne asada tacos and such filling spicy sweet pork burritos when I get my food. They've come a long way and are definitely the best Mexican food in town.

An amazing local treasure! The owners worked their way up from a literal hole in the wall restaurant into a beautiful new location. The portions are massive, prices fair, and food incredible. No wonder they had such success!

Their bowls are great spice was tasty not just hot the meats are on point fresh veggies and different types of beans large servings just yummy

Love going here while I was trap in Ephraim during college. I only get the burritos and sometimes taste so much better than my favorite place Quedoba.

The service is fast. The food is decent, though a little bland. For a Cafe Rio knock-off, it's alright.

Excellent food. We had the Taco Salad with Al Pastor and Carne Asada. Highly recommended.

Food is always top notch, service is always good but not over the top. We have been here tons and they never disappoint. If anyone thinks this place is a knock off, just ask to meet the owners who are often there working with everyone else.
